Over 100 people attended the Extreme Make-over Final held at Wagga Wagga Comercial Club on the 15 December 2007.

All the money raised went to the Ronald McDonald House, the above picture is myself (Jay Harrison) & my very good friend Mr Bruno Martin handing over the cheque to Yvonne Braid, Radio 2WG Manager and strong supporter of the charity.

Recent studies estimate that more than half of all Australian women (52%) and two-thirds of men (67%) are overweight or obese. That is, almost 60% of the adult population in Australia is overweight or obese. Urban Spirit & Flex-It Gym in conjunction with other local business's decided to play a part in trying to change these disturbing figures and show people that keeping fit can be FUN.

Each contestant received over $10,000 in free services within the eight weeks, with the winning contestant receiving additional prizes on completion of the extreme makeover.

The Extreme Make-Overs main aim was to raise money. The Winner was the person who raised the most money NOT the one who lost the most weight.

The challenge involved 5 local business people (Alana Brabin, James Duncan, Matthew Hogg, Brooke Keyes and Monique Shephard) who underwent a grueling 8 week exercise and fitness regime, which resulted, not only in them feeling and looking better, but also having fun.  All 5 participants lost pounds and the charity gained much needed funds.

Five started only four made it to the end
